OUR STORY

                     From North County San Diego, CA. LIVN is a band of brothers that share a passion for music and spreading their message of peace, love and power of positive thinking. Composed of Harvey Quintero (Vocals, Melodica, and Percussion), Jesus Martinez (Vocals, Melodica), Dino Grillo (Guitar), Julio Guerrero (Keyboards, Bass), Brandon Confranesco (Drums), and Harvey A. Quintero (Bass, Keyboards, Drums). They began their journey in early 2012 when Harvey heard Jesus and Harvey A. jamming a song that was soon to become "Positive Mota-vation". He liked the sound and saw the potential. Dino and Harvey had been playing music throughout their lives and already had a recording studio in Oceanside, so they decided to invite Harvey A. and Jesus over to jam. They quickly found a drummer and another guitarist; that is when things started coming together, from a jam to a band! Practicing for nearly three years as musicians fluctuated, Julio joined the family. He wasn't a keyboard player yet but was fond of music theory and played bass in highschool band, so they taught him a few things and when he picked it up instantly it helped to establish and create their sound. Starting by going out to open mics and testing their sound, there was still trouble in finding a steady drummer. Eventually, a long time friend Lorenzo hopped on drums and it was go-time. Shortly after the six piece band decided they were ready and played their first show in 2014. Since then, LIVN has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with bands like Seedless, Marlon Asher, Killah Priest, Mendo Dope and Fortunate Youth. LIVN's sound has a heavy Cali-Reggae tone with slight rock and blues influences that will leave their catchy leads and deep rhythmic bass lines resonating in your head. Finally, it was time to start releasing music to the world. So they began by recording a couple of singles independently, "Realization" and "Positive Mota-vation", that they released for free on Soundcloud. Immediately after the singles they began to record their self-titled EP which would feature the previous singles and include 5 new originals. In September of 2017, they released their first self-titled EP. Since then there has been a new addition to the group Brandon Confranesco (Drums) and they are currently working on releasing a single in the fall of 2019.
